Installation
Compared to its previous-generation comparable engines, the CAT C13 engine is 65% smaller in size and 63% lighter in weight, allowing for engine downsizing without compromising overall performance.
Furthermore, the C13B is equipped without EGR, thereby simplifying the installation process and saving valuable time and costs for OEMs.
Cost Savings
The Cat C13B leverages a range of technologies to significantly reduce fluid consumption, including a 6% lower total fuel consumption compared to the CAT C13 engine.
Featuring Caterpillar’s patented technology that eliminates EGR from the engine, it offers a rated oil change interval of 500 hours and an ash service interval of 5000 hours. This helps OEMs and operators lower parts and maintenance costs over the life of the engine.
Reliable Operation
Compared to previous-generation engines, CAT C13 engine offers a 20% increase in power and a 19% increase in torque.
The Cat C13B has also undergone more than 120 million hours of off-highway testing.
Its reliable performance allows operators to work safely and with focus on the job.
